August 5, 2025 - On Friday, 8 August, a special gathering will take place in the chapel of Huize Loreto in Simpelveld. The Sisters of the Poor Child Jesus are temporarily returning to their former home base for their international General Kapittel – a meeting in which they will jointly determine the course for the next three years. The sisters were affiliated with Huize Loreto from 1878 to 2012 and are now returning for this meaningful gathering.
As a festive conclusion, the Sorriënto mandolin association will give an atmospheric mandolin concert in the chapel. The musicians will perform a varied programme full of warm sounds and soulful melodies, in keeping with the historical and spiritual atmosphere of this special evening. Admission is free.
