March 28, 2022 - On March 26, 2022, a unique program was offered to interested parties in various monasteries and churches in The Netherlands. Varying from an exhibition, workshop, tour, concert, festival to the chance of an overnight stay in an authentic sister cell.
In addition to former monastery Loreto in Simpelveld, Clemensdomein in Brunssum, Cultuurhuis Landgraaf, Abdij Rolduc in Kerkrade and Zorghuis Onze Lieve Vrouw in Voerendaal also took part.
With this Night of the Religious Heritage, initiator IBA Parkstad wanted to demonstrate how a renewed purpose could preserve churches and monasteries for future generations. Our project in Simpelveld (Loreto monastery complex) fits in perfectly with this objective.
